Privacy policy

Last updated 1 October 2026

In short: everything you put into EvenTurn (teams, players' names, plans and minutes) stays on your own device. We don't have accounts, we don't collect or see your data, and we don't use cookies, analytics or advertising.

Who we are

EvenTurn is a free planning tool for team coaches, made and run by Ben Hughes in the United Kingdom. You can contact us at benhughes1227@gmail.com.

What's stored, and where

When you use EvenTurn, the information you enter is saved in your browser's storage on your device. That includes:

This information is never sent to us or to anyone else. We have no copy of it and no way to see it.

Children's information

Squads are often children. Because everything stays on the coach's own device, no child's information is shared with us. We'd still suggest only entering what you need to plan, such as first names or initials. As the coach, you're responsible for how you use and share the plans you make.

Backups and sharing

If you download a backup or print a plan, that file is created on your device and goes wherever you choose to put it. Keep backups somewhere safe, as they contain your players' names.

What we do receive

EvenTurn is hosted by Cloudflare. Like any website, when your device loads EvenTurn, Cloudflare handles technical information such as your IP address and browser type in order to deliver the pages and protect the site from attacks. We don't use this to identify you, and we don't run analytics or tracking on top of it.

Cookies

EvenTurn doesn't use cookies. It uses your browser's storage only to save the information you enter and your display preferences, which is needed for the app to work.

Deleting your data

You're in control. Delete a team or match inside the app, or remove everything by uninstalling EvenTurn or clearing this site's data in your browser settings. Once deleted it can't be recovered unless you've kept a backup file.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you have rights over personal information held about you. As we don't hold any information from the app, there's normally nothing for us to access, correct or delete, but you're welcome to contact us with any question. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).

Changes to this policy

If EvenTurn changes in a way that affects your privacy, for example if we add optional accounts, syncing or payments, we'll update this page before that change goes live and change the date above.
